When we were deciding on a name for our business the logical option was to combine our forenames in some fashion and we ended up with two options which are shown in this appropriately modified 'taijitu' symbol.

The symbolism is probably not evident to many but the universal yin (black) half tallies with the feminine version of our two options which we have chosen as our main trading name - Gela, from Angela of course, the moon is feminine as is Venus which is represented by the cross below the circle. The white (yang) half is our masculine option and is symbolic of the masculine sun which is represented by the glyph of an 'O' with a dot in it and Mars which is represented by the arrow pointing out of the circle.

So although Gelageo is our trading name Geogela is our alter ego and satisfies our quest for balance. The choice of Gelageo was appropriate because we are principally concerned with educating people about the fact that the second luminary, the moon, and the other planets are in fact far more important than the sun when it comes to learning about yourself.

This page exists simply to explain the significance of our use of the yin yang symbol as it also ties in with the geomancy (feng shui) side of our business where it forms a part of the ba gua (pa kua - eight symbols) - an octagonal diagram with one trigram on each side representing a direction, an element, a family member, a part of the body and an aspect of our lives.

Since Geogela is in the yang side of the symbol it is concerned with positiveness and light thus it is our link to sun sign astrology and below the logo you will find links to our favourite sun sign and chinese astrology websites as well as some other useful links.

For sun sign horoscopes we recommend you visit the web sites of professional astrologers par excellence Jonathan Cainer, Steve Judd and Eric Francis (the last two add a global perspective).

For chinese astrology we recommend Sabrina LiaoMaster Rao and Master Tsai - the latter site operates a 'Fortune Angel' compatibility report based on both western & chinese astrology and feng shui!

We hope you have fun learning about yourself whilst visiting these sites and if you want to venture into DIY astrology then there are three sites that we would highly recommend:

Astrodienst, Cafe Astrology & Bob Marks

Astrology is inextricably linked to spirituality and we can personally recommend several books - 'Seat of the soul' by Gary Zukov & 'Anatomy of the spirit' by Caroline Myss and the incredible works of Eckhart Tolle and Doreen Virtue.

For information/further research on absolutely everything we highly recommend Wikipedia:

Imagine a world in which every single person can share freely in the sum of human knowledge ...

In making these recommendations we hope you will remember that we're here to help you and ultimately our ability to provide the service we do depends entirely on your support.
